This exhibition collected the most important objects of Tintin's travels: the Arumbaya fetish, Ottokar's scepter, the Unicorn, the mummy of the 7 crystal balls, among many others. Walking among these treasures, Tintin is accompanied by his closest friends and co-stars of his adventures. The ninth object in the collection is the symbol of the pharaoh Kih-Oskh, the tomb of which Professor Philemon Cyclone desperately seeks in The Pharaoh's Cigars. It is one of the most iconic images of the adventure series created by Hergé.

The introduction of Oliveira da Figueira's character takes place on board a ship in the middle of the Mediterranean Sea. Our hero meets him when he is rescued by the ship's crew and Oliveira is another guest. The only Portuguese character in the comic saga is a traveling salesman who sells European products in North Africa.

Walking among these treasures, Tintin is accompanied by his closest friends and co-stars of his adventures.The seventh character of the collection is that of Serafin Brass. The insurance agent who makes his first appearance at the beginning of the adventure of The Professor Calculus Affair. From then on, he becomes one of the funniest secondary characters created by Hergé in four other albums of the series.

Tintin resin figurine - The Maharaja and his Son - Col. Imaginary Museum, 46019 (2023)

As it usually happens in The Adventures of Tintin, many of the troubles he gets into and escapes from are the result of fortuitous accidents. And so it happens in Cigars of the Pharaoh. When already in India he accompanies Professor Cyclone and Slotsky to the asylum, Tintin ends up in a straitjacket from which he escapes when the ambulance in which he is being transported collides with Cyclone's Lincoln Torpedo, with such bad luck that while fleeing through the jungle he falls into an animal trap and is left hanging from a tree. His luck changes when the Maharaja Ravaputala saves Tintin and invites him to stay in his palace. From there he discovers where the gang of the Kih-Oskh symbol is hiding and stops them. But the fakir manages to escape and kidnaps the Maharajah's son. It is then that Tintin and the Dupondts climb into the red Bolide (from which the policemen fall a second later) and save the child. In gratitude, the Maharajah invites him to stay with them for a while. And it is precisely the Maharajah and his son who are the protagonists, as this beautiful resin figure from The Imaginary Museum of Tintin collection will arrive very soon.

The singer visits the exhibition of the most iconic objects from the Tintin albums with her friends: Tintin himself, Snowy, Haddock, Professor Calculus and a long line of characters.

The Leopard Man, ancestral African witchcraft, in the Imaginary Museum of Tintin. In June 1979 a large exhibition was inaugurated at the Palais de Beaux arts in Brussels, which later moved to other cities, including Barcelona (Fundació Miró, 1984). The leopard man appears fully dressed in this attire in vignette A1 on page 31, although the body posture of the figurine from The Imaginary Museum is only glimpsed in the darkness of vignette B3.

The ninth figurine in the Imaginary Museum's collection is a reproduction of the god Shiva, one of the most important deities of Hinduism and represents the sacrifice necessary for regeneration after death. This is the religion with the largest number of followers in India, a country that Tintin visits in Cigars of the Pharaoh and at the beginning of The Blue Lotus. The sculpture of Shiva Nataraja, the king of dance, appears on page 50 of Cigars of the Pharaoh when a believer wants to sacrifice Snowy after Tintin's dog has bitten a cow.

This piece appears in the Ethnographic Museum during the action of the first page of the album The Broken Ear, a few meters from the famous Arumbaya fetish.
