In the early 1960s, Hergé was both a satisfied man (in his private life) and a fulfilled one (in the practice of his art). Thus, with "Les Bijoux de la Castafiore", he offers a sort of explosion of the codes of the classic adventure in the form of a comic strip. The originals of the original version, initially published in the newspaper "Tintin", have been kept in the archives of Tintinimaginatio for 60 years. Carefully and meticulously restored, these documents allow us today to give a new shine to the story of the "Jewels".

Created by Hergé at the request of Cœurs Vaillants, this series for young people seemed more in keeping with the morals promoted by the French Catholic weekly than with the exploits of a boy without a family and left to his own devices like Tintin. The action, very animated, shows a sense of slapstick that is delightful, as Hergé's humor here is more graphically exaggerated than in Tintin.... The Adventures of Jo, Zette and Jocko is a comic strip created by the Belgian Hergé, the creator of the famous series The Adventures of Tintin. Much less popular than this one, the series stars two children, Jo and Zette Legrand, and their pet, the monkey Jocko. Composed of six issues, it was eventually abandoned by its author, who, overwhelmed and overtaken by the success of Tintin.

Slave and arms trafficking are at the core of the plot of this adventure, and as usual, Tintin and the captain are involved by a series of coincidences. This album is a sort of continuation of Tintin in the Land of Black Gold, and a large number of characters that appeared in previous episodes reappear in it. The emir Ben Kalishn Ezab, in trouble in his country, sends his little son, the terrible Abdalah to Moulinsart. Tintin and the captain flee from his mischief, leaving him with the long-suffering Nestor, and head for Khemed to try to help the emir.

THE ADVENTURES OF TINTIN 18 - L'AFFAIRE TOURNESOL - FRENCH

This is a comic masterpiece. We prefer not to explain the plot of the story here, so that those who read it for the first time can fully enjoy it. From the beginning, the events are chained at a fast pace: an explosion is heard, a storm breaks out, objects break, the power goes out and Serafin Brass arrives for the first time in the series.

A meteorite is heading towards the earth and many predict the end of the world. Tintin goes to the astronomical observatory where he meets Professor Calys. Fortunately, the omens are not fulfilled and only a fragment of the meteorite reaches the earth, falling into the Arctic Ocean. When he notices the presence of an unknown element, Professor Calys organizes an expedition in the ship Aurora, in which Tintin and Captain Haddock take part.

The theft of an Arumbaya fetish from the ethnographic museum takes Tintin to the South American republic of San Teodoro. There he is immersed in the war of this country with neighboring Nuevo Rico, and becomes an aide to General Alcazar, a controversial character that we will meet again later in other adventures. Tintin goes deep into the jungle to find the Arumbayas and discover the mystery of the stolen fetish.

Tintin travels on a cruise ship bound for the Far East. On board he meets the strange Egyptologist Philemon Cyclone, who is traveling in search of the tomb of the Egyptian pharaoh Kih-Oskh. Tintin accompanies him to the tomb and there he discovers the mysterious cigars, which hide more than just tobacco. He is then kidnapped and abandoned at sea, but is saved and lands in Arabia. After many vicissitudes, he ends up in India, where he stays with the Maharaja of Rawhajpurtalah.
