Figurine: Lunch Scene – The Blue Lotus

When it comes to culinary experiences, Tintin enjoys it. And this, throughout his adventures. Also, whatever the circumstances and/or the place on the globe where he finds himself, the young man always takes the opportunity to taste all kinds of dishes and learn, at the same time, a thousand and one ways of consuming them. Because, for him, a meal is, above all, a privileged opportunity to learn about the cultural traditions of the people he meets. In fact, in China, at lunch time, he happily shares his table with a stranger, as is customary to do in popular street restaurants. This figurine, entirely hand-sculpted, was made from a vignette of the Blue Lotus (page 25, vignette D1). All the details present in the scene (bowls, chopsticks, benches, etc.) have been reproduced with the greatest care to maintain its realism, but even more: its authenticity. Enough to travel to the plate of the little reporter and to discover, alongside him, the captivating flavors of Asian cuisine.

CHEST OF 13 FIGURINES - TINTIN'S IMAGINARY MUSEUM

Numbered and limited edition box with 13 figurines of objects exhibited in the promotional poster of the exhibition Le Musée Imaginaire de Tintin at the Palais des Beaux-Arts in Brussels in 1979. Each of the figurines in this luxury box is made of metal alloy and hand painted. Limited edition and numbered to 1.000 copies.
