It marked a turning point in Hergé's career and sealed his friendship with the sculptor Tchang-Tchong Jen.
The Thom(p)sons fear nothing! Not even dressing up as mandarins from the last dynasty, even though the action of The Blue Lotus is set in the 1930s! Their yellow dragon costumes provoke hilarity among passers-by in this richly detailed, vibrantly colored square, boldly displayed as a poster.
